Wendel is an exhibitor at the 7th Science Festival

Am Dienstag, den 30. September 2014 fand von 8 bis 14 Uhr in der Wilhelm-von-Oranien-Schule in Dillenburg zum 2. Mal das Festival der Naturwissenschaften statt. Schülerinnen und Schüler der Jahrgangsstufen 7 und 8 könnten an den Ständen der Unternehmen selbst Experimente durchführen.

Die sieben Auszubildenden der Firma Wendel Email stellten das Berufsbild des Chemielaboranten und des Stoffprüfers Keramik vor. Am Wendel-Stand könnten sie den pH-Wert von verschiedenen Lebensmitteln testen.

Glossary

Enamel

According to RAL 529 A (1940), enamel is a mass that is produced by melting or fritting; an inorganic and essentially oxidic composition fused onto metallic components in one or more layers, partly with additives.

Enamel frits

Depending on the quenching process of the smelt, granules or flake-shape substances (so-called flakes) are produced when quenched with water or during the roller cooling. Granules and flakes are called enamel frits.

Coil Coating

Coil-Coating (Bandbeschichtung) ist ein industrielles Verfahren, in dem gewalzte Stahl- und Aluminiumbänder kontinuierlich beschichtet werden.
