THE PATENTED WENDEL METHODH

,uses rotary furnaces to produce flakes. First-class enamel frits are manufactured in accordance with the highest quality and environmental standards. Output is subjected to constant, strict quality controls.

WATER, AIR AND SILENCE

Wendel is committed to nature-oriented actions using: modern dust extraction chambers, fluorine absorption and waste gas purification units as well as Low NOx burners (air); a closed water circuit, waste water treatment processing plant, cooling rollers (water), melting furnaces with silent burners and gas-air instead of oxygen-gas combustion process (noise).

ENERGY EFFICIENCY

is a matter of course. Consumption of gas/electricity and compressed air is transparent. Energy-intense production plants have been adapted to modern standards, offices are heated using waste heat and only energy-efficient lamps and cooling devices are used.

Glossary

Enamel

According to RAL 529 A (1940), enamel is a mass that is produced by melting or fritting; an inorganic and essentially oxidic composition fused onto metallic components in one or more layers, partly with additives.

Enamel frits

Depending on the quenching process of the smelt, granules or flake-shape substances (so-called flakes) are produced when quenched with water or during the roller cooling. Granules and flakes are called enamel frits.

Coil Coating

Coil-Coating (Bandbeschichtung) ist ein industrielles Verfahren, in dem gewalzte Stahl- und Aluminiumbänder kontinuierlich beschichtet werden.
