Be inspired by stylish Wendel glazes

Wendel Email is a well-known international manufacturer of enamel surfaces for the sanitary, household appliance and heating industries. The company located in Dillenburg was present at Ceramitec 2015 in Munich from 20th to 23rd October.

Ceramitec is the leading trade fair for specialist suppliers of clay roof tiles, clinkers, tiles and other ceramic products.

Wendel presented an unimaginable variety of colours in matt, matt-gloss and high-gloss surfaces of glazes and engobes that really impressed visitors.

A chef from “Feinkost Käfer” produced delicious glazed waffles – unlike ceramic glazes – fit for human consumption.

The trade fair was a complete success! “Our large, colourful stand covering and the chocolate fountain where small tile-shaped waffles were glazed attracted visitors and aroused curiosity in our products. The number of discussions and the quality of them were significantly higher than in 2012. We need to strengthen our new business contacts in the coming weeks,” says Jan-Martin Schröder, Head of Sales and Marketing.

According to RAL 529 A (1940), enamel is a mass that is produced by melting or fritting; an inorganic and essentially oxidic composition fused onto metallic components in one or more layers, partly with additives.

Enamel frits

Depending on the quenching process of the smelt, granules or flake-shape substances (so-called flakes) are produced when quenched with water or during the roller cooling. Granules and flakes are called enamel frits.

Coil Coating

Coil-Coating (Bandbeschichtung) ist ein industrielles Verfahren, in dem gewalzte Stahl- und Aluminiumbänder kontinuierlich beschichtet werden.
